Recent Progress
Scott recently shared that he completed the first two sections of the Pyrenean Haute Route, a challenging trail stretching 800 km (494 miles) from Hendaye on the Atlantic coast to Banyuls-sur-Mer on the Mediterranean. He’s currently near Gavarnie, marking the end of section two.
The Journey
The Pyrenean Haute Route is renowned for its breathtaking scenery and demanding terrain, spanning the ridge between France, Spain, and Andorra. Scott is travelling west to east, navigating both the GR10 (French side) and GR11 (Spanish side) routes, which offer diverse landscapes and climates.
Adventure Companion
Along the way, in Lescun, Scott met up with his partner Megan. Together, they have now tackled section two, entering the ‘big mountains’ and moving further from civilisation.

Timeline and Support
Scott began his hike on July 16th, 2024, aiming to complete the journey in about six weeks, finishing by late August or early September. His determination and fitness are evident, and we at Traybakes are cheering him on every step of the way.
